Salsa on the Water

500 people salsa'd around and through Toronto Harbour Friday night on the cruiseboat River Gambler for the 4th UofT Dance & UofT DanceSport Movida Cruise.

On the eve of the Toronto Fit 1 Festival Salsa competition, Mambo Tribe's Mark-Anthony spun Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Cha Cha tunes that kept the party moving for five full hours!

2006 Highlights included an amateur salsa competition won by Stephanie & Orlando. There was a shines competition and Bong's RumbOn2 Dancers performed a breathtaking well choreographed piece. Bong also gave a short salsa lesson below decks to a packed house.

The cruise aspect of this balmy tropical Friday party was a Limbo Contest that had everyone laughing and smiling and trying their hand, uh - their waists, passing under the pole. The evening did not end there, Boarding Passes got everyone into the Tonic Night Club - c/o Dance and DanceSport.

These people know how to throw a party! People seen included Davin, Bong, Giovanni. Next year promises even more fun and salsa on the water.
