Last night, Julio and Suave were literally swapping places after each song, spinning a lot of old favorites one right after another - does "La Pantera Mambo" come to mind? Expect classic sort of salsa from the 80s and 90s with a touch of cha cha - not the goofy kind - merengue and bachata for a little cheek to cheek flirting.
$5 Martinis for the women before 11:00pm and a reasonable cover charge for all after 9:00pm, a full menu and tapas, Ba Ba Luu is the upscale but affordable downtown T-Dot salsa destination. Hot damn, do they make a good Cosmos... A slightly older crowd, but just as enthusiastic, rounds out SalsaTO.ca's "Salsa Night of the Week."
