Fun from the Saturday workshops continued Saturday night at the elegant and spacious Lithuanian Hall. Tables for ten gave people room to sit and watch the action on the stage or on the dance floor.
Stephanie got the crowd going with a Sensual and Sexy Bachata Jack 'n Jill contest. All comers were challenged to stay on the floor, women on one side, men on the other and coming together for one Bachata song. Four judges circled the floor like hungry sharks, picking off four couples.
The survivors lined up again and took different partners for another song, while the judges circled.
The last four couples remaining waited by the stage as the crowd chose the winner by applause. Fun was had by all. And Regis Emeritus DJ Jorge El Romantico survived three rounds.
MC Troy narrated and introduced Saturday's Bachata Festival Gala Show, keeping things moving and the crowd entertained. They were not disappointed with Bachata, Salsa, the Middle East, Hustle, Tango, and Afro-Cuban.
Art-in-Motion's Darlin Garcia & Liz' Artist and his Muse mesmorized them as the Artist ran through the entire routine with one hand, including tricks.
Performances included: GoDanceMambo Bachata choreographed by Rafael;
an energetic Steps Dance Studio's Bachata group choreographed by Jennifer and Clifton;
O'Kello's Play Mambo;
City Dance Corps' Afro-Cuban;
Rhythmic Fire Danz's Callaoa Dance;
United Salseros Belly Dance; Toronto's Bong surprise Latin Hustle with Art of Latin Dance;
Tango with TangoSoul;

DJ Suave and DJ Bowie kept the crowd moving to their favorite Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha favorites until sometime after 2:00am. Dovercourt House's Andy ran a friendly and value priced bar.
A portion of the Festival's proceeds will be going to the children's charity "Windfall," addressing new basics for those in need.
