Ricardo Lemvo - Salsafrica Rule

Lula was the party Saturday as Ricardo Lemvo, El Nino and Luiso Orbegoso's Salsafrica revelled in a feast of Latin music. Great music is timeless as they played long passionate versions of hits that still stir a dancefloor into a frenzy. The crowd joined the musicians and sang and danced to these timeless Rumba, Salsa, Cha Cha and Merengue anthems.

Some of Toronto's best musicians including vocalist Yeti y Lady Son, Keyboardist Glenda del Monte, percussionist Daniel Stone, Roberto Occhipinti on bass backed Ricardo Lemvo and El Nino.

El Nino not only sings, but plays tres, flute and keyboards, swapping places mid-song, mid-note with Glenda.

Salsafrica's two sets included: Funk, West Indian Man, Mambo Yo Yo, Lagrimas Negras, Guajira, Bilongo, A Papa, Papa Na bona; Mama Kiyelele, amame Mama, Canto A La Habana, Amor Matata, Yiri Yiri Bon, Samba Luku Samba, Che Che Cole.
