While the performers take the spotlight, without people, there would be no stage for them - the people who take the lessons, who go out week after week to socials, shows, who buy the tees, the shoes - they are the ones who make a Congress.
Thursday's Pre-Congress Gala Show and Competition in the Sheraton's Dominion Ballroom was a refreshing treat from the club venues of the past. Room to sit, room to stand, a large ante- room to get away from the sound made for a very social evening.
The atrraction was strong as Albert Torres was on hand very shortly after the lesson to MC, Super Mario made it in early and social danced throughout the evening.
Toronto's DJ Vanessa Trujillo, Toronto's DJ Julio Cezar, and NYC's DJ Henry Knowles made for great tunes all evening long.
