Salsa invaded ClubLand's Level night club Thursday night for the 6th Canada Salsa Congress Pre-party and the 2nd Salsa Competition.
Salsa cuts across geography, age, and fun lines as Vancouver's Vicky and Ralph admitted Thursday night.
Starting salsa nine months ago in Vancouver they got hooked immediately. Working in a Thanksgiving visit with family to the Canada Salsa Congress. They are having the time of their lives.
Ralph's lead at nine months is pretty darn good too.
After enjoying the Canada Salsa Congress, Thanksgiving and their family, Vicky and Ralph are packing their bags for the five hour run down the west coast for the upcoming Seattle Salsa Congress!
As a 2008 bonus, WSC Promoter Albert Torres gave buys into the World Salsa Championships Semi-finals December 2008 (now delayed - updated date coming soon) Orlando Florida to the First Place and Second Place Winners in the On1 and On2 classes.
The scores do not necessarily reflect the courage, effort, time and commitment and passion that the competitors put on the line for the judges and the audience.
On1 Winners: First Place Calgary's Eric & Kelly with a score of 77.33.
Second Place Montreal's Evan & Kim with a score of 70.75.
On2 Winners: Montreal's Victor & Katia with a score of 83.75; Second Place went to Toronto's Paul & Corrina with a score of 76.67; and third place went to Toronto's Danilo & Esther with a score of 72.75.
