Ba Ba Lúu let the world know they have been Toronto's salsa scene for 15 years - in a very playful way - Thursday 1 October 2009.
DJ Julio ran a good old fashioned Screw Party. Each woman entering the venue was given a nut. Each man entering the venue was given a screw. Only one nut and one screw would mate or work... The trick was finding the match.
Halarity reigned, attempted couplings occurred all night long as screws and nuts flitted from one to the next, searching ... searching... Then a five minute two-for-one Tequila shot at the bar that sealed the deal.
Home run! Touchdown! He shoots... he scores!
As one lucky guy and one lucky gal demonstrated their mating parts to Julio and won $100 each.
