The Salsa Never Stopped

Steps Dance Studio was packed Sunday night for Jennifer's Salsa on Saint Clair After Party. The party never stopped as people walked a few blocks down the street from the festival right into a cool air conditioned space and picked up where they left off - Dancing and Dancing and Dancing.

Jennifer was astounded by the turnout.

"We had approximately 150 people dancing at the studio - all levels, all ages. The vibe was great, the music was great... the party was rocking until 11pm!"

People in the crowd included iFreeStyle Angus & Caryl, Los Salsomanos' Giovanni, DJ Nilson, DJ Gary Geronimo, Java, Latin Energy's Oscar, United Salseros, and more!

Around 10:00pm. Jen's Student Choreography Group, co-choreographed by Giovanni put on, not one, but two shows to cover for their being short one guy. That allowed the extra woman to perform and shine to the crowd too.

"Otra Otra! ...." "Gary! Gary!" The crowd, and yes, it was a crowd, roared after they did their first set. Not enough salsa or water, or was it too much sun and a sugar hit from the chocolate chip cookies that got into them?

While her performers caught their breath, Jen had a draw for a Canada Salsa Congress evening pass. Kinthana won the pass and Jennifer took the opportunity to announce her very recent engagement to Sylvanus. People take a shine to more than just shines at the classes it seems.

Another pass is being raffled off Sunday 19 August, the next Steps Studio Party. Find some time on that Sunday and Step out to Steps for a little Steppin' of your own! It could be a great warm-up to Steps' End-of-Summer Workshop week 27-30 August.
