The number was eight and the day was a ten!
One of Toronto's longest salsa institutions celebrated eight years Saturday 10 January 2008. Jim Groneau, who only wanted a place to practice dancing started
Toronto Salsa Practice at Trinity-Saint Paul Church.
And the practice never stopped. Jim, a man of very few words, thanked the crowd in his customary one minute announcement for making the practice what it was and is, a place to come out and practice salsa. Then it was back to dancing to 100% salsa.
The only things that have changed over the years are some of the faces while the music runs off an iPod instead of a stack of CDs. Last year had TSP cupcakes and this year featured a spicy carrot cake!
What hasn't changed is the music and the fun people of all ages and abilities have dancing to it.
